She has an undergraduate in Economics, a Master in Business Administration (MBA), and a PhD in Tourism Marketing from the University of Palermo, Italy. During her PhD studies she spent one year at the Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland. Prior joining <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unibz.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unibz<\/a> in 2008, she studied, worked and lived in France, USA, UK, Ireland and Switzerland. In 2001\/2 she was a Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of Central Florida, Orlando (USA). At unibz, she is member of the Research Cluster on Tourism, Marketing and Regional Development and Vice-director of the Competence Centre in Tourism Management and Tourism Economics, <a href=\"https:\/\/tomte.econ.unibz.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TOMTE<\/a>. Her research interests include consumer behavior in tourism, experience and emotions in tourism, visual research methods and big data, innovation and competitiveness in tourism. She is an elected member of the Executive Council of IATE, the International Association for Tourism Economics. She is Editor-in-Chief of the Emerald international peer-reviewed journal\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com\/journal\/cbth?_ga=2.94099677.1519811573.1648049847-1947128373.1647594049\"><em>Consumer Behavior in <\/em><\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com\/journal\/cbth?_ga=2.94099677.1519811573.1648049847-1947128373.1647594049\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tourism <\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com\/journal\/cbth?_ga=2.94099677.1519811573.1648049847-1947128373.1647594049\"><em>and Hospitality<\/em><\/a>. She is also on the editorial board of leading scientific journals in the field of tourism and hospitality.
